Da qualche tempo sto utilizzando un nuovo interessante servizio: Bitcasa.
Questo servizio promette spazio ILLIMITATO direttamente dal proprio desktop. Basta scaricare il software specifico, installarlo, selezionare la cartella da “cloudify” (da mettere in nuvola), e in pochissimi secondi la cartella si trasformerà in un dispositivo con spazio illimitato. La cosa bella è che può essere fatto con tutte le cartelle presenti sul pc, gli hard disk esterni etc. Ciò in poche parole permette di evitare l’acquisto di nuovo hardware per il salvataggio dei dati. Al momento il servizio è in versione Beta, ed è completamente gratuito, non appena terminerà la fase Beta, il servizio avrà un costo di $ 10,00 al mese, un investimento esiguo se si considera che lo spazio è ILLIMITATO. Al momento l’unica cosa che manca, secondo me, è la possibilità di poter fare l’upload dei file dal portale web e dagli smartphone Android e iOS, ma queste opzioni dovrebbero arrivare a breve.
Il funzionamento è molto semplice e immediato: si seleziona la cartella. Tutto qui! Da quel momento la cartella è pronta per essere riempita con tutti i nostri files!
Per poterlo utilizzare momentaneamente è necessario un invito.

Samsung Galaxy S2 CM9 Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 Experimental – Ci siamo!
Eccoci qui, di nuovo a parlare della ROM di Cyanogenmod per il Samsung Galaxy S2 Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3.
Dopo appena 2 mesi di sviluppo, con la release di oggi possiamo dire che la ROM è praticamente perfetta. Finalmente anche il video è stato sistemato.
La stabilità ha raggiunto livelli tali da poterla consigliare per l’utilizzo quotidiano senza alcun problema. Ora resta solo da attendere che venga rilasciato il kernel per poter ottimizzare ulteriormente la batteria e sistemare le ultime imperfezioni rimanenti, che al momento attuale, non compromettono la stabilità del sistema.
Se avete questo telefono, possiamo consigliarvi l’installazione, ricordando che queste operazioni invalidano la garanzia, e in rari casi possono compromettere il telefono. Prima di procedere vi consigliamo di seguire le numerose guide disponibili in rete.

Chrome Beta – Android
Da pochi minuti è disponibile nel market la versione beta del Browser Google: Chrome. Al momento però è disponibile solo per i terminali/tablet dotati di Android 4.0, e pare che in Italia non sia ancora possibile installarlo tramite il market.
Comunque, siamo riusciti ad installarlo sul nostro terminale, Galaxy S2 con CM9 ICS 4.0.3.
Queste le nostre prime impressioni…
Appena fatta partire la app si presenta come il browser PC Chrome: una pagina vuota con la barra indirizzi in alto, pronta per accettare l’indirizzo da visualizzare. Come nella versione PC è possibile gestire diverse schermate che possono essere gestite direttamente dalla barra.
Funzionalità interessante è la sincronizzazione tra i vari dispositivi. Se avete cioè installato Chrome sul PC, e sul telefono, inserendo le stesse credenziali, potete sincronizzare i siti visitati, e addirittura vedere quale sito si sta visitando attualmente. Ciò permetterà di visitare un sito in mobilità e una volta sul pc di casa di poterlo rivedere, senza andare a cercare nella cronologia del telefono.
Per quanto riguarda la navigazione, l’abbiamo provata su siti in versione PC e non mobile, e vengono caricati abbastanza velocemente, unica cosa che abbiamo notato è una leggera scattosità nello scorrere le pagine, ma è una cosa che dobbiamo verificare in quanto il nostro terminale ha la ROM ancora in versione experimental.
In conclusione il prodotto è sulla buona strada e a breve sarà di default su tutti i nostri telefonini android, perchè crediamo proprio che google lo vorrà rendere il browser di default.

Titanium Mobile
Ormai gli smartphone hanno sostituito i telefoni cellulari basilari, e sono in grado di eseguire numerose e disparate operazioni.
Nel mercato degli smartphone si stanno distinguendo, per numeri di attivazioni, Android e Apple.
Per ampliare o integrare le varie funzioni basilari disponibili, sono stati creati appositamente dei Market/Store, dove è possibile prelevare gratuitamente, o a pagamento le applicazioni che possono servirci a migliorare la nostra esperienza con lo smartphone.
Molte volte però, capita che l’applicazione che potrebbe servirci non esiste o è pagamento, o non è stata implementata come noi vorremmo.
Inoltre, essendoci 2 sistemi operativi differenti, le app di un sistema, ovviamente, non vanno bene per l’altro.
Fortunatamente, esistono dei framework che ci permettono di scrivere e creare le applicazioni per tutti i vari sistemi operativi, scrivendo il codice una volta sola, evitando così di doverci obbligare a imparare i vari sistemi di programmazione quali ad esempio Java (android), Objective-c (Iphone).
Uno di questi programmi è Titanium Mobile Appcelerator.
E’ un framework gratuito che ci permette di programmare per Android, iOS, Blackberry Os, Web.
Essendo un framework con API, ci permette di creare per tutti i vari sistemi operativi applicazioni native, ovvero in grado di utilizzare le varie funzioni del nostro telefono, senza rallentamenti o impuntamenti, che invece applicazioni non dedicate, senza dubbio, li avrebbero.
Titanium Mobile comprende un ambiente di programmazione basato su Eclipse, quindi libero e gratuito. Sul sito è possibile reperire tutta la documentazione per creare da subito applicazioni funzionanti per tutte le piattaforme.
E’ disponibile per Windows, Mac OsX e Linux.
Abbiamo iniziato anche noi ad usarlo e a breve vi riusciremo a fornire una recensione completa, e probabilmente anche qualche programma multipiattaforma.

Applicazioni Consigliate: Abbonamento Wind & Abbonamento Wind Business
Oggi parleremo di un’applicazione Android dedicata a coloro che hanno un abbonamento Wind, a pacchetto, come ad esempio le ALL INCLUSIVE.
Come ben saprete, per conoscere il residuo di chiamate e messaggi, è necessario inviare un SMS al numero dedicato, e dopo qualche minuto, un sms di Wind ci comunicherà il residuo disponibile.
Viene così in soccorso questa app: ABBONAMENTO WIND, che altro non è fa che mandare automaticamente il messaggio, senza bisogno di doverlo riscrivere o richiamare ogni volta.
Basta semplicamente cliccare sull’icona e in pochi istanti il messaggio sarà inviato, il tutto in maniera semplice e trasparente.

Samsung Galaxy S2 CM9 Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 Experimental – 7 giorni dopo – 7 days later
Eccoci qui dopo 7 giorni per vedere come si è evoluta la custom rom CM9 che introduce Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 sul Samsung Galaxy S2.
Siamo passati dalle versioni Alpha alle versioni Experimental, per identificare che lo sviluppo è già a buon punto, ed è proprio così.
Infatti, i problemi evidenziati nelle prime Alpha, che non permettevano l’uso come rom giornaliera, sono stati sistemati ed ora siamo arrivati ad avere una rom molto stabile, e con dei bassissimi consumi.
Le applicazioni ora si installano su SD e il problema con Titanium Backup è stato sistemato.
Risultano ancora dei piccoli problemi di ricezione, con alcune compagnie, e la vibrazione non è ancora impostata a dovere, però funziona. Il consumo con connessioni 3G è ancora molto elevato.
Dopo 7 giorni di utilizzo, posso dire che sicuramente la ROM è valida e sicuramente merita di essere provata, in attesa, ovviamente della versione STABILE.

Iniziamo il nuovo anno con una piccola recensione sui più importanti siti di condivisione file.
La funzionalità principale di questo tipo di servizio è che è possibile per esempio caricare file, che probabilmente, tramite mail, non è possibile trasferire agilmente, in quanto troppo ingombranti.

Samsung Galaxy S2 CM9 ICS ALPHA – Impressioni
Da qualche giorno è presente sul forum Xda la nuova rom alpha Ice Cream Sandwich per Samsung Galaxy S2, fino ad oggi sono riuscito a resistere alla tentazione di provarla, in quanto la rom, essendo ancora in versione di sviluppo, ha alcuni bug.
Comunque, non resistendo alla tentazione di vedere ICS, ho scaricato i file necessari e in pochi minuti ho flashato il tutto e avviato il nuovo sistema operativo.
Ora, dopo qualche ora di utilizzo, mi ritrovo con qualche piccolo/grande problema a seconda dell’importanza del bug rilevato:
- Le applicazioni, quelle grosse non possono essere installate, spostate su SD. La SD e la memoria di massa interna vengono viste dai programmi di gestione, ma il sistema operativo non è in grado di scriverci sopra. Quindi certe applicazioni che per default vanno installate sulla SD, non si possono ovviamente installare.
- Titanium Backup non funziona correttamente. Ho il file per la licenza su SD in file di testo, e non viene riconosciuto. Pertanto non è possibile al momento usufruire della versione completa per gestire i programmi. Lo sviluppatore ha comunque sottolineato di non utilizzare al momento Titanium Backup.
- I driver video non sono ancora completamente fixati. Sia BeWeather che Sygic, per indicarne 2 non funzionano correttamente e la grafica non è perfetta. BeWeather utilizza grafica di alta qualità per mostrare le previsioni e in questa release nell’immagine sono presenti delle righe. Per quanto riguarda il Sygic, il navigatore che uso più spesso, rimane in stallo e non mostra alcuna mappa, nonostante sia stato calcolato il tragitto da seguire.
- Cosa però che mi lascia positivamente perplesso è che si ha un fix dei satelliti praticamente istantaneamente e al chiuso, ottimo quindi l’utilizzo dell’agps.
Cos’altro, attendiamo il rilascio del nuovo anno, che dovrebbe contenere il kernel aggiornato, che dovrebbe sistemare questi piccoli, ma fastidiosi bug, per il resto il telefono, pare funzionare abbastanza bene e senza impuntamenti. Continuerò a provarlo in questi giorni di relax, prima di decidere se rimettere gingerbread o rimanere con ICS.

Oggi presenteremo un programma che a nostro avviso è molto utile, si tratta di : Server2Go
Server2Go è un webserver che funziona senza bisogno di installazioni. In questo modo è possibile utilizzare applicazioni o siti web senza bisogno di pubblicarle direttamente su un webserver. Per esempio è possibile far partire vere e proprie webapp da chiavette usb o cdrom.
Basterà quindi inserire la chiavetta o il cdrom per avere accesso all’applicazione o al sito web desiderato.
Aggiungiamo che il prodotto è completamente gratuito, è basato su Apache e comprende PHP, mysql e perl.
